Melbourne Golf Academy 

Founded in 2001, Melbourne Golf Academy is Australia’s premier public access golf practice facility. The facilities are truly world-class with provisions for all-weather circumstances, designed specifically for Melbourne’s unique conditions.

The range is suited to everyone from social golfers and aspiring hobbyists to the next PGA contender. All conveniently located in the beautiful suburb of Heatherton, just 40 minutes south of the CBD.

Our friendly and attentive team

Our friendly, knowledgeable staff have taken care to cultivate genuine rapport with our patrons. Comprising of a diverse bunch with both former and aspiring professional PGA golf champions in the mix, they continue to build new relationships with the grounds’ ever-growing community of keen golfers.

General Manager Vaughan Somers has been present from MGA’s inception. A professional golfer for 20 years with 4 x PGA Australasia tour wins, he has played alongside a handful of golf greats including Seve Ballesteros, Nick Faldo, and Jack Nicklaus. Vaughan brings with him a wealth of experience, understanding the requirements of golfers at all levels.
